  • 500g fresh squid, cleaned and cut into rings
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Kitchen Tools Needed:

Instructions:

  1. Season Flour: In a large bowl, combine the flour, chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Coat Calamari: Dredge the squid rings in the seasoned flour, then dip them in the beaten egg, and finally coat them with bread crumbs.
  3. Heat Oil: Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium heat.
  4. Fry Calamari: Carefully add the coated squid rings to the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Drain: Remove the fried calamari from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  6. Serve: Serve the crispy calamari hot with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as chili sauce or aioli.
