Spicy Red Hot Heart Cookies

A cake recipe for the upcoming Christmas Fruit cake πŸŽ‰πŸ°πŸ‡πŸŒ°

 


 raw materials 

  1 cup unsalted butter

  1 cup of brown sugar

  4 large eggs πŸ₯šπŸ₯šπŸ₯šπŸ₯š

  1/2 cup of orange juice

  1 tablespoon of vanilla

  2 cups of cake flour πŸ₯£

  πŸ₯„ 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder 

  1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg powder

  1/2 teaspoon of salt πŸ§‚

  2 cups of mixed dried fruits (eg dried grapes, golden raisins, canberries, strawberries, apricots, tutti fruiti) πŸ‡πŸ‘

  1 cup assorted nuts (eg walnuts, almonds, cashews)

 (Take the same cup for measurement)   


 πŸ₯£ Method of making 

 Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) for 10-15 minutes. Line cake pans with parchment/oil paper.  (in 1kg tray)


 1. First mix the wet ingredients:

  In a large bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.   Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after adding each egg.   Stir in orange juice and vanilla. 


 2. Mix the dry ingredients:

  In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.   


 3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing well with a spatula.   Add a portion of dry fruits and nuts and mix.

 Pour the cake mixture into the pan.  Add the rest of the remaining dry fruits and nuts to garnish.   πŸ‡πŸŒ°

 Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 1 hour.   If you stick a stick in the middle and it comes out clean, it is well baked.

 Remove the fruit cake from the oven and let it cool on the cake pan for 10 minutes, then transfer the cake pan to a wire rack to cool completely.   ❄️
